ABOUT LOWFI INSTALLERS AND THE NOMAD OFFLINE KNOWLEDGE SYSTEM.
We set it up. You rely on it. LowFi Installers is the installation arm of LowFi Security, created to preconfigure offline hardware systems for consumers and businesses. We pair the right equipment with dependable software, set it up for real-world use, and back it with human support.
LowFi Installers' first offering is a fully configured Project NOMAD system. Project NOMAD provides the free, open-source offline server platform; we source the hardware, install and field-test the system, and provide ongoing updates. The result is a complete, ready-to-run system.
The mission is to bring new life to older hardware that no longer has much use in enterprise environments, turning capable retired machines into dependable offline knowledge systems.
We serve preppers, off-grid homesteaders, emergency responders, rural families, and anyone who needs knowledge that stays on when the grid goes down.

THE INSTALLATION
We source the hardware, load the Project NOMAD platform, configure every module, and field-test the unit before it ships. You receive a complete, ready-to-run system.
THE HARDWARE
Refurbished rugged laptops and new ruggedized systems — mil-spec or high-durability chassis built to withstand extreme field conditions. Optional solar and battery power kits available.
THE SUPPORT
We stay with you after delivery. Annual update services keep the NOMAD platform current, and managed IT support is available for small businesses and organizations.
POWERED BY
PROJECT N.O.M.A.D.
Every unit we ship runs on Project N.O.M.A.D. — Node for Offline Media, Archives, and Data. This free, open-source platform is the software engine behind the entire NOMAD survival system.
We're proud supporters of this project and its mission. Our role is simple: take this powerful software and put it into the right hands, on the right hardware, configured and ready from day one.
